He was also a part of the regulatory team for a multinational energy company. He has extensive experience in advocacy of policies for the downstream natural gas transmission and distribution sector. He has been part of the Gas Industry Group (GIG) and contributed to the PPAC (a Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas cell) meetings to advocate policies for City Gas Distribution (CGD) development in India. |

He has worked with the reputed National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES), Tsukuba, Japan and several other international research institutions like the Max-Planck Institute fur Plasmaphysik, Germany, Netherland's Energy Research Foundation and Stanford University's Asia/Pacific Research Center. |

He was also the Consulting Member and contributing author to United Nations Environmental Program's (UNEP) Quantitative Group, representing the Asia Pacific, for the Outlook Component of Global Environment Outlook-4 which was published in October 2007. |

He has developed expertise in the areas of CDM Modalities and procedures, methodologies, project baseline, monitoring and verification protocol etc. |

He also specializes in the area of Energy Security and has been involved extensively in modeling long term trends in primary energy (coal, oil, natural gas, renewables) and electricity. |

He has working knowledge of Energy Environment Modeling such as MARKAL and AIM Models. He has to his credit publications in peer reviewed international journals, a co-authored book and several papers that he has presented at international conferences. |
